UC San Diego Capital Program Management

Challenge Overview

The UC San Diego Capital Program Management team aimed to unlock insights from extensive historical construction project data to improve future planning and decision-making. Students analyzed datasets related to project timelines, expenditures, and outcomes to identify trends and develop predictive metrics. They created structured data frameworks, analytical reports, and visual dashboard concepts to help project managers better understand risks, allocate resources, and forecast project performance. The project also included recommendations for enhanced data collection to strengthen future analyses. By leveraging data-driven insights, the solution supports more efficient, informed, and strategic management of UC San Diego’s capital improvement projects.
