Affiliated Student Org Hackathon

The Basement Affiliate Student Organization Program is designed to foster meaningful partnerships with student organizations that are passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, and design knowledge.

Through our program, student organizations join a vibrant ecosystem of innovators and get access to helpful resources that can elevate their work and expand their impact.

Whether you're hosting pitch nights or hackathons, developing new products, or exploring big ideas, we're here to support and amplify your efforts.

Requirements

Plan or co-host at least one innovation- or entrepreneurship-related event, workshop, or project in collaboration with The Basement or OIC per academic year
Executive Board members must attend at least one Basement or OIC-hosted event (e.g., workshops, office hours, guest panels)
Share information about Basement/OIC programs and opportunities with their membership and/or wider networks
Complete the Affiliate Agreement Form, signed by all Executive Board
Submit quarterly engagement metrics to The Basement

Eligibility

The organization must be registered and in good standing with UC San Diego’s Center for Student Involvement (CSI).
The organization should have an active member base and demonstrate consistent engagement throughout the academic year.
The organization’s goals and activities should align with the values of The Basement with a focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and design.
Both undergraduate and graduate student organizations are eligible.
