Future Founders 
Future Founders is The Basement's exploratory pathway, designed to help students refine ideas and build foundational skills in entrepreneurial thinking.
As an introductory program, Future Founders supports students at the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey and can serve as a stepping stone into the signature Blackstone LaunchPad program or other opportunities to further develop their ideas.

This program is by invitation only. We are partnering with various schools, departments, and student organizations to identify potential candidates for this program.
Dates & Duration
Winter 2025 cohort runs from January 2025 - May 2025
Requirements
- Have a startup, social innovation, or small business idea that you are passionate about pursuing
- Founder or co-founder (team lead) must be a current UC San Diego student.
Eligibility
Open to all current UC San Diego undergraduate and graduate students in good academic standing.
Curriculum
- Meet with Subject Area Mentor
- Attend in-person workshops
- Complete individual assignments, including Customer Discovery and Pitch Deck

Co-Curricular Record (CCR)
UC San Diego has an official record called the Co-Curricular Record (CCR) which highlights student involvement and achievements in opportunities beyond the classroom. Future Founders is a co-curricular record (CCR) approved opportunity.
How to apply: Students can request the Co-Curricular Record (CCR) with the academic transcript through the Registrar or print an unofficial PDF copy through the CCR Portal.
