Father Joe's Villages
Challenge Overview
The Father Joe’s Villages team aimed to enhance how staff connect individuals experiencing homelessness with the most appropriate resources. Students examined the complexity of homelessness, where no single solution fits all, and staff must navigate an evolving landscape of services, policies, and individual needs. They developed a centralized, user-friendly solution to streamline resource identification, including a digital resource map and a prototype tool to support staff in matching clients with housing, healthcare, food, and employment services. By reducing time spent searching for resources and improving service coordination, the solution helps staff focus more on client care while increasing the effectiveness and responsiveness of support systems.
