Electrolyte Biosensor

The Electrolyte biosensor group is developing a continuous electrolyte sensor for bodily metric monitoring for kidney disease patients. Our product is a wearable device that uses an Ion-Selective electrode (ISE) and a reference electrode to measure a specific electrolyte (i.e. Na+). This device allows CKD patients to continuously monitor their hydration levels through an electrolyte level reading and provide an alternative treatment to current dialysis clinic sessions.
