Patient Compass

Patient Compass is an early-stage, medical student-led startup dedicated to enhancing the healthcare experience for both patients and providers. Currently, we specialize in creating tactile 3D models and complementary illustrated education guides, designed to be used in-clinic for step-by-step procedure demonstrations and taken home by patients for further review, respectively.

By aiding and standardizing physician-led education, our tools i) reduce inconsistencies in and misunderstandings from healthcare team communication, ii) enable healthcare team members to better share their expertise and connect with patients, iii) empower patients to feel less anxious and take an active role in their care, and iv) foster patient trust and health system utilization. Essentially, we provide clarity in moments of high vulnerability, thereby optimizing clinic workflows and overall health outcomes.
